Good Progress for First Week

Monday we moved the TR2 from the trailer to the lift in the shop.  And unloaded all the grocery sacks and coffee cans full of parts.  Lots of time just spent trying to get oriented to where everything is at!

Here's a few initial shots from the shop:

Our initial attempt at managing those grocery sacks:

First objective is to connect enough of the cooling system to fill it and ensure no leaks, esp from radiator.  Found out fairly early we are missing part #19, pipe, and prior owner knows he did not buy a new one.  He also thinks the old one was trash.  So we have to place an order to get his part#19:

While we are at it we are getting all the parts to install the heater.  Ray has done a nice job of cleaning up and painting the heater.  Unfortunately this picture shows the top of the heater, which is hidden so it's not pretty, but the mounting brackets look great!  Ray also did air cleaners while he was at it:

Installing the heater really also requires installing the dashboard too.  Most of the wiring connects to items in the center panel, so no advantage to installing the dash after wiring since the center panel installs separately.  The dash is kind of a bear to install, it's seven mounting studs also locate the two dashboard heater ducts and the mounting for the steering column.  Dashboard now installed:

We will continue doing miscellaneous small jobs until our parts come in for completing the cooling system.
