New Project Car

 This blog will cover a 1955 Triumph TR2 that Ray and I bought from a local British car friend David in KY.  He bought the car in 2009 from the owner in Henderson KY.  He dismantled the car and had it painted.  He also had a guy named Too Tall Tim make a new interior for the car.  Then he lost interest,  He claims, and we think he's right, that he has the vast majority of the parts needed to reassemble the car.  He also claimed it "ran fine when parked".  

This is how the car has sat for many years after paint.  David did a nice job of organizing the parts into grocery bags and coffee cans.  Here's some views after we got everything loaded into the box trailer:

We are going to initially leave the car and parts on the trailer until we work on the second car.  There are also lots of other parts that we have in storage next door (painted doors, hood, boot lid plus interior seats and panels).  As they say, just some assembly required!
